Chona Camomot is a two time Emmy-award winning on-air reporter and multimedia producer for the Boston Globe. A native of Louisville, Ky., Camomot graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2004 with a B.A. in Journalism. In 2007, she received a Master's of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College. In the interim, she freelanced with the Boston Globe. The experience ultimately led to a full-time position as a multimedia producer with boston.com, the Globe's Web-based content component, where Camomot was responsible for shooting and editing her own video content and producing video for reporters and photographers. In May 2009, she won two Emmy nods for vastly different videos: a sports piece on a tradition at Celtics games and a feature on yo-yo expert Guy Wright. In 2010, Camomot was promoted to the position of anchor for the newspaper's new Globe Today project. In addition to appearing as an on-air personality, Camomot will also be responsible for writing scripts and producing the newscast four times per week.
